A new roof, done right the first time
Replacing a roof is one of the bigger investments you’ll make in your home, and it’s not something you want to redo in five years because the last crew cut corners. We install roofs the way they’re supposed to go on, using quality materials and doing the small details that actually keep water out. When we’re finished, you’ve got a roof you can stop thinking about.
Every replacement starts with an honest look at what you really need. If a repair would buy you a few more good years, we’ll say so. If it’s time for a new roof, we’ll walk you through your options, the cost, and the timeline before anything gets torn off.
How to know it's time for a new roof
A few things usually mean repairs are no longer the smart money:
- Shingles are curling, cracking, or losing their grit
- You keep finding granules in the gutters
- Leaks come back, and now in more than one spot
- The roof is 20 years old or more
- You can see daylight or sagging from the attic
What does a new roof cost in Utah?
The honest answer is that it depends on the size of your roof, the material you pick, and the shape the current roof is in. Most homeowners still want a real number, so we put together a full breakdown of what a roof replacement actually costs in Utah, including what pushes the price up or down.
We also offer financing, so a new roof doesn’t have to be one big hit up front.

Why homeowners choose us
Straight answers to the worries we hear most
Maybe you’ve been burned before, or you’re worried you will be. Here’s what makes us different.
“My roofer took the deposit and disappeared.”
We hear this one a lot, and it’s part of why Jen started Roofing Utah. We treat every job as a real commitment to your home. That means showing up when we say we will and finishing what we start. And if something needs attention down the road, we’re still here to take the call.
“The leak came back a week later.”
If a repair doesn’t hold, it wasn’t really a repair. So we look for what’s actually causing the leak instead of just covering the spot that’s easiest to reach. We use the right materials and install them properly, so the next rainstorm isn’t a reason to worry.
“I can't tell if I need a repair or a replacement.”
This is one of the most common spots to be stuck in, and it’s where a lot of homeowners get pushed toward the priciest option. We’ll give you an honest read instead. Sometimes a repair is all you need. Other times, replacing the roof is the smarter call over the long run. We’ll tell you which one it is and why.
“Storm chasers keep showing up at my door.”
After a big storm, out-of-town crews show up uninvited, promise a great deal, and ask for money upfront. Some of them you never see again. We’re a local company based in Roy, working across Ogden, Davis County, and the Salt Lake Valley. We were here before the storm and we’ll be here after it, which matters when you need someone to stand behind the work.
“I have no idea if my insurance will cover this.”
Insurance claims are confusing, and most roofers leave you to sort it out on your own. We don’t. We’ll help you document the damage, figure out what your policy actually covers, and handle the paperwork the insurer wants. Whether it was hail, wind, or one of those classic Wasatch Front storms, having someone who knows the claims process makes a real difference.

Roof replacement FAQs
Questions Utah homeowners ask us
Clear answers, no runaround.
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most homes are a one to two day job, depending on the size, the weather, and the type of roof. We’ll give you a realistic timeline before we start.
How much does a new roof cost?
It depends on size, material, and the condition of your current roof. We put together a full cost guide, and every quote is itemized so you know exactly what you’re paying for.
Will my insurance pay for a new roof?
If the damage came from a storm, hail, or high wind, often yes. We help you document it and work through the claim so you’re not doing it alone.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We have financing options so you can spread the cost out instead of paying for the whole roof at once.
What roofing material is best for Utah?
Asphalt shingles are the most common and hold up well here. Metal lasts the longest and handles snow load nicely. We’ll help you weigh the cost against how long you plan to stay in the home.
Will you remove my old roof first?
Yes. A proper replacement means tearing off the old material, checking the decking underneath, and building back up from there. Roofing straight over old shingles is a shortcut we don’t take.
How long will a new roof last?
With quality materials and proper installation, an asphalt roof commonly lasts 20 to 30 years, and metal can go longer. We use products backed by strong manufacturer warranties.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Jen Silver
Jen Silver founded Roofing Utah in 2019. By then she’d already spent years in the Utah roofing business, starting out on the phones in inside sales and working her way up to general manager of a local roofing company, where she nearly doubled its annual sales in under two years.
She built Roofing Utah to be a contractor homeowners could count on from the first call to the final walkthrough. Today it’s one of the fastest-growing roofing companies in Utah, and Jen is a founding member of Women-Owned Businesses of Northern Utah.
