Insurance Claims Help
We work with your adjuster
After the storm, we've got you
Northern Utah storms don’t ask permission. High winds lift and tear shingles, driving rain finds every weak spot, and debris does the rest. The tricky part is that a lot of storm damage doesn’t show from the ground, so a roof that looks fine can already be letting water in.
We come out, get on the roof, and give you a real assessment of what the storm actually did. If it’s covered by insurance, we help you document it and work with your adjuster so the claim goes smoothly.
What we look for
Common storm damage we repair
Some of it is obvious. A lot of it isn’t. Here’s what we check after a storm.
Lifted, torn, or missing shingles
High winds break the seal on shingles and peel them back. Even shingles that settle back down may no longer be sealed, which is an open door for the next rain.
Punctures and impact damage
Branches and flying debris crack shingles and dent metal, flashing, and vents. Small punctures leak slowly and quietly until they show up on your ceiling.
Flashing and seal failures
Storms work loose the flashing around chimneys, valleys, and vents, which is where a large share of leaks actually start.
Hidden water intrusion
Water can travel a long way from where it got in. We trace it back to the real source instead of chasing the stain.
Not sure what the storm did?
Hail is its own kind of damage, and sometimes it’s time to look at a full replacement. We’ll tell you straight.
Why homeowners choose us
Straight answers to the worries we hear most
Maybe you’ve been burned before, or you’re worried you will be. Here’s what makes us different.
“My roofer took the deposit and disappeared.”
We hear this one a lot, and it’s part of why Jen started Roofing Utah. We treat every job as a real commitment to your home. That means showing up when we say we will and finishing what we start. And if something needs attention down the road, we’re still here to take the call.
“The leak came back a week later.”
If a repair doesn’t hold, it wasn’t really a repair. So we look for what’s actually causing the leak instead of just covering the spot that’s easiest to reach. We use the right materials and install them properly, so the next rainstorm isn’t a reason to worry.
“I can't tell if I need a repair or a replacement.”
This is one of the most common spots to be stuck in, and it’s where a lot of homeowners get pushed toward the priciest option. We’ll give you an honest read instead. Sometimes a repair is all you need. Other times, replacing the roof is the smarter call over the long run. We’ll tell you which one it is and why.
“Storm chasers keep showing up at my door.”
After a big storm, out-of-town crews show up uninvited, promise a great deal, and ask for money upfront. Some of them you never see again. We’re a local company based in Roy, working across Ogden, Davis County, and the Salt Lake Valley. We were here before the storm and we’ll be here after it, which matters when you need someone to stand behind the work.
“I have no idea if my insurance will cover this.”
Insurance claims are confusing, and most roofers leave you to sort it out on your own. We don’t. We’ll help you document the damage, figure out what your policy actually covers, and handle the paperwork the insurer wants. Whether it was hail, wind, or one of those classic Wasatch Front storms, having someone who knows the claims process makes a real difference.

FAQs
Questions Utah homeowners ask us
Clear answers, no runaround.
Does insurance cover storm damage to my roof?
Often, yes. Wind and storm damage are commonly covered. We help you document everything and work with your adjuster so you’re not fighting the claim alone.
My roof looks fine after the storm. Do I still need it checked?
It’s worth it. A lot of storm damage isn’t visible from the ground, and catching it early is far cheaper than fixing water damage later.
How soon should I get storm damage looked at?
Sooner is better. Once a seal is broken or a shingle is gone, the next rain can get in. We can usually get out quickly, and we handle emergencies.
Do you do emergency storm repairs?
Yes. If a storm left your roof open or leaking, we can tarp and stabilize it fast, then handle the full repair.
Will you work with my insurance company?
Yes. We document the damage properly and deal with your adjuster directly so the claim moves forward.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Jen Silver
Jen Silver founded Roofing Utah in 2019. By then she’d already spent years in the Utah roofing business, starting out on the phones in inside sales and working her way up to general manager of a local roofing company, where she nearly doubled its annual sales in under two years.
She built Roofing Utah to be a contractor homeowners could count on from the first call to the final walkthrough. Today it’s one of the fastest-growing roofing companies in Utah, and Jen is a founding member of Women-Owned Businesses of Northern Utah.
